Note: To t connect your wallet to the Bondex App you must use an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible wallet, such as MetaMask.
To get started, visit the official MetaMask website to download the wallet software onto your device. You'll be presented with several options depending on your device:
Browser: Choose this option if you're using Google Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Edge as your web browser.
Android: Select this if your smartphone operates on the Android system.
iOS: Use this option for iPhones.
After choosing the correct option for your device, click on the “Install MetaMask for…” button to begin the installation process.
After successfully downloading the software, locate the MetaMask extension icon in the top right corner of your web browser. Click on it, then select the "Get Started" button. This action will take you to a new page where you'll be presented with two options.
Import wallet: This is for users who already have an existing MetaMask wallet on a different device and would like to import it over to a new one.
Create a wallet: This is for users who want to set up a brand new MetaMask wallet.
Select the “Create a Wallet” option, agree to a short disclaimer that appears and create a password when prompted. As with any password, it’s vitally important you physically write several copies of the password down on different pieces of paper. You should never create a digital copy of any password you create; this includes actions like taking a screenshot of it, sending it to yourself in an email or saving it as a note on your computer. Anything digital that’s stored on your computer is accessible to hackers – don’t make life easy for them.
Each time you want to access your MetaMask wallet, you will be required to enter your password.
Secret Recovery Phrase: After setting your password, a new screen will explain what a secret recovery phrase is and how to securely record it. It is essential to write this phrase down on paper, not store it digitally, to ensure its security. Additionally, you must never share this recovery phrase with anyone.
This recovery phrase consists of 12 random words that serve as a backup. If you ever lose the device where your MetaMask wallet is installed, this phrase will allow you to recover your wallet on a new device.
You must carefully write down each word of the secret recovery phrase exactly as it appears on the screen. The sequence of these words is critical, as any error in the order will prevent you from successfully importing your account to a new device, even if all the correct words are used.
MetaMask will require you to input the 12-word sequence to confirm its accuracy before you can proceed to the final steps.
After finishing these steps, your new MetaMask wallet will be ready for use.
